Embrace your spooky spirit!

Brucemore is partnering with the Iowa Ceramics Center and Glass Studio for another popular workshop, just in time for Halloween! In this workshop, participants will build their own unique ghost from clay, using various hand-building techniques. Once your ghost is the perfect size and shape, participants can add “boo-tiful” decorations to their creations with colored glazes and various textures.

This workshop is hosted in the Brucemore Carriage House. All instructions and materials are provided during the workshop. Following the workshop, the instructor will take the projects to the Iowa Ceramics Center and Glass Studio for firing in their kiln. Brucemore will notify participants when their projects are ready for pick up from the Iowa Ceramics Center and Glass Studio, approximately three weeks following the class date.

• Please enter through the gate at 2160 Linden Dr. SE., Cedar Rapids, IA 52405
• Once onsite, please follow signs towards the Carriage House, where there is on-site parking.
• Please check-in with Brucemore staff at the Carriage House.

Tips for your visit

• Please consider leaving bags or other larger personal items in your vehicle. A coat rack is available, but it is not monitored during the workshop.
• All ticket sales are final. Please read our ticket policy here.
• Visitors are encouraged to explore Brucemore during their visit. Take a walk around the grounds or purchase tickets for a tour.
