Embrace your creativity!

Just in time for fall, Brucemore is partnering with the Iowa Ceramics Center and Glass Studio to teach participants how to make their own apple-shaped bowls from clay!  These seasonal bowls perfect to enjoy your favorite seasonal desserts, no matter what apple inspires your project- fuji, honeycrisp, red delicious, even granny smith!

Participants will create and paint their apple bowls at Brucemore. All projects will go back to the Iowa Ceramics Center and Glass Studio for firing in their kilns.  Finished projects will be ready for pickup at the Iowa Ceramics Center and Glass Studio approximately three weeks after the class date. Before you know it, you’ll be enjoying all sorts of delicious apple desserts in your apple bowl! Finished projects are approximately 5”x5” in size.

Admission: $35 per person (Includes all materials and instruction)

• Arrival: We ask that you arrive via our main entrance, 2160 Linden Drive SE. There is on-site parking both near our Visitor Center and the mansion.
• Safety: Masks are encouraged. Anyone who wishes to wear a mask is encouraged to do so.  View our COVID policy here.
• Check-in: Please check-in at the Visitor Center.
• Location: This event will be held outside; please dress for the weather. It will be relocated inside the Visitor Center if weather requires.
• Capacity: The event is limited to 16 people. Additional class times may be offered as ticket sales progress.
• Explore: Visitors are encouraged to explore the grounds before or after the event or to buy tickets for a guided tour of the estate.
