Embrace your Halloween spirit!

‘Tis the season of pumpkin spice and happy haunts, and Brucemore is partnering with the Iowa Ceramics Center and Glass Studio to bring Halloween cheer in this popular workshop! In this class, participants learn to create their own Jack O’ Lantern trinket using various hand-building techniques. Once sculpted, participants can add faces, features, and texture to their pumpkins and paint them with seasonally colored glazes. Finished projects are approximately 4″x4″ inches in size.

Participants will craft and paint their pumpkins at Brucemore. All projects will go back to the Iowa Ceramics Center and Glass studio for firing in their kilns. Participants can pick up their Jack O’ Lantern creations from the Iowa Ceramics Center and Glass Studio three weeks following the class date, just in time for Trick or Treat!

Admission: $35 per person (includes all materials and instruction)

• Arrival: We ask that you arrive via our main entrance, 2160 Linden Drive SE, Cedar Rapids, IA 52403 There is on-site parking both near our Visitor Center and the mansion.
• Safety: Masks are not required at this time. Anyone who wishes to wear a mask is encouraged to do so.  View our full COVID policy here.
• Check-in: Please check-in with Brucemore staff at the Visitor Center.
• Location: This event will be held outside; please dress for the weather. It will be relocated inside the Visitor Center if weather requires.
• Capacity: The event is limited to 16 people. Additional class times may be offered as ticket sales progress.
• Explore: Visitors are encouraged to explore the grounds before or after the event or to buy tickets for a guided tour of the estate.
