In 1925, Grant Wood designed a plaster mural for the walls of one Brucemore Mansion’s sleeping porches. Today the mural remains as one of the home’s most unique features. Brucemore staff will share the history of the porch and the connections between Iowa’s most famous artist and one of Cedar Rapid’s most prominent families as patrons, fellow artists, and friends.
